There are many traditions associated with Fall; for some it Halloween, for others sweater weather and more recently pumpkin spice everything! For myself, Fall always means one thing…. Football!!!
I love football season! Growing up, I watched football at my grandparent’s house every Sunday afternoon. I rarely knew what was going on but I loved the atmosphere...family, food and the excitement of the game.
Having three boys has allowed me and my husband to continue this tradition. Football is the perfect excuse to ignore my to do list and spend quality time with the most important people in my life.
We most often watch football at home but when we get invited to football parties or events, I need clothes that are stylish and warm!
And as all you football fans know…it is important to wear the color of the team you are cheering for. In Texas, this is most often, red. Our proximity to teams that wear red means that is usually my go to color. Texas Tech, Louisville Cardinals, Georgia Bulldogs and the Kansas City Chiefs!
“Red is the color of extremes. It's the color of passionate love, seduction, violence, danger, anger, and adventure.
I don’t have a huge loyalty to all of these teams but I do love to win and these outfits will have you dressed to win, no matter what event you are attending.
Outfit Descriptions:
Look one: Red Tunic: Red Layered Sweater Collar, (SHOP IT) This tunic is perfect for the game whether you are watching from home or on the sidelines. The collar has a touch of bling and is also detachable which you would never know it from just looking at it. This top is a perfect transition to the holiday season. It is one of my must haves to show my holiday cheer.
Look two: Houndstooth Zip jacket and Bushberry Mock Neck Tank (SHOP IT ) No matter where you live a little bit of layering this time of year is most likely necessary. Here in Texas, this jacket serves as my day to day outerwear but for my east coast clients, it used as another layering piece to keep them comfortable, cozy and chic.
Look Three: Hope Wrap (SHOP IT) the hope wrap is perfect for adding an extra layer of warmth when you need it. The wrap is great for casual or dressy depending on how you style it. It takes me from kindergarten class parties to a night out! For the holiday season it’s my go to for color and function.
